Medical records require additional safeguards to protect the sensitive and personal nature of the information they contain. EIS Services recognizes the importance of privacy to medical clients, and has implemented a number of streamlined processes to ensure the upmost security of information for these clients. Security is considered a key element of EIS Services delivery, and as such is monitored closely. EIS Services are dedicated to maintaining open communication with clients and typists to ensure all privacy requirements are met. EIS Services also allow full client access to operating systems to demonstrate the strength and integrity of security and privacy procedures. Central to this are EIS Services dedicated medical transcription team. This team includes experienced typists and quality managers, who are familiar with the EIS Services privacy policy and relevant statute and individual client requirements.

The posting of personal information in a blog comment means your information is publicly accessible. Such information can be viewed online and collected by third parties. We are not responsible for the use of information by such third parties. We strongly recommend you avoid sharing any personal information.

All employees of, and subcontractors to, EIS Services sign a confidentiality agreement before the commencement of work if required by clients.

Completed documents are returned by default via email or accessible from our secure online portal to the client. This method is protected by standard HTTPS protocol.

All activity on the EIS Services secure website is fully auditable by EIS Services. Access to client and file information is strictly managed through the use of access level management and password protection. Both typist and administrative activity is recorded, providing a complete audit trail of when and by whom audio and documents are accessed.

EIS Services understand to keep the customers confidential information strictly confidential. Your contact details or any other information you provide to EIS will not under any circumstances be sold, rented, loaned or otherwise disclosed to any third party without your written consent. No information or resource of yours will ever be used for any personal or commercial gain on the part of EIS and you will be advised immediately if any conflict of interest arises. We will happily sign a non-disclosure or confidentiality agreement should you require it.

A thorough analysis of all EIS information networks and systems will be conducted on a periodic basis to document the threats and vulnerabilities to stored and transmitted information. The analysis will examine the types of threats internal or external, natural or manmade, electronic and non-electronic that affect the ability to manage the information resource. The analysis will also document the existing vulnerabilities within each entity which potentially expose the information resource to the threats. Finally, the analysis will also include an evaluation of the information assets and the technology associated with its collection, storage, dissemination and protection. From the combination of threats, vulnerabilities, and asset values, an estimate of the risks to the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the information will be determined. The frequency of the risk analysis will be determined at the entity level.

Based on the periodic assessment, measures will be implemented that reduce the impact of the threats by reducing the amount and scope of the vulnerabilities.

Access into EIS network from outside is granted using EIS approved devices and pathways on an individual user and application basis. All other network access options are strictly prohibited.

Access to areas in which information processing is carried out is restricted to only appropriately authorized individuals. The following physical controls are in place: Mainframe computer systems must be installed in an access-controlled area. The area in and around the computer facility affords protection against fire, water damage, and other environmental hazards such as power outages and extreme temperature situations. File servers containing Information is installed in a secure area to prevent theft, destruction, or access by unauthorized individuals.
